Volunteer to participate in the IBCRF BioBank.
Participating in research is an important way to be involved in changing the future for patients diagnosed with IBC. One way to do that, no matter where you live or where you received your treatment, is through participating in the IBCRF BioBank, a part of the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center Tissue Bank. Following your consent to participate, you’ll be able to share your medical record as well as biospecimens (tissue left over from biopsies and surgeries) related to your IBC diagnosis and treatment. These materials can then be used by approved research studies.

How will my contributions benefit science?
Your tissue and blood can help scientists learn new ways to treat, prevent, and possibly cure diseases. Understanding real cancer tissue is vital to many types of research.
How will my data be protected?
Efforts are made to reduce any privacy risks associated with participation, including taking your name off of your medical records and biospecimens. Data is stored securely by the BioBank administrator, following strict confidentiality protocols.
